Umbhalo
colorfully striped Middelburg blanket of yellow, green, blue, red, and purple. Once the beadwork has been applied the blanket can weigh as much as 25 kg. The beads represent that the woman is married and if there are holes in the beadwork pattern it denotes the first wife.
Nyoga
Wedding Veil Train used in the ceremony to depict a snake (Nyoga) becuase it is believed that the encestors live in the snake and it is the symbol of fertility.
